Mission
The Department of Education is committed to excellence in teaching, research andextension activities in the field of education in Indiaand particularly in VidarbhaRegion by providing necessary guidance&support for students and staff.
Objective
- To provide quality education at Post Graduate and Ph.D. level.
- To design curriculum transaction of education at Graduate and Post Graduate Levels.
- To encourage the students for various competitive examinations like SLET, NET, MPSC, UPSC etc.
- To organize Seminars, Conferences, Workshops for disseminating advanced knowledge in the field of education.
- To encourage students and faculty members to design, plan and conduct departmental research projects relevant to the local conditions and needs.
- To strengthen research in the thrust area of the department namely Teacher Education, Value Education, Tribal Education, Environmental Education etc.
- To undertake major and minor research projects pertaining to education especially in relation with the local issues and problems in the region.
- To undertake extension activities and establish linkage with the local communities.
